XD head retrofit

Anyone have any news or knowledge if they are retrofitting XD heads on dynamic machines yet? I have a IFB4800 dynamic and would very much like to be cutting full 5 axis....I have a robotic WJ cell but need more accuracy...

It is possible, but not the easist thing in the world. Part of this issue is that the newer machines, including those with Dynamic XD, have about a 3" shorter catcher tank. So unless you want to replace/modify your catcher too, you lose 3" of your Z travel. There are also some more sophisticated control things that need to be added.
