I am looking for feedback from Waterjet operators only. No sales people please. Do any operators have suggestions on table bricks and has anyone used the bricks manufacted by MDI? We cut plastic sheeting in patterns of 10,8, and 6 feet so there is constant repeating on the bricks.
Thanks
Scott

never used MDI, have more info on them I would give them a look?. We use waterjet brick which can be purchased a bunch of differnt ways (Flow, Calypso were the first few to carry them). We also use a product called Rhino Board that works well too.

We also use Rhino Board. Never used MDI.

Are you using support bricks only, or bricks on top of slats? One thing you can do to lengthen the life of your bricks (on slats), is to move your "user home" as the bricks start to show wear. This will also lengthen the life of the slats (for slat only users) and center supports for repetitious patterns. Essentially, you're just moving the entire pattern to a fresh cutting area.
Moving the user home is much easier than moving the entities, as it does not change the file, just the reference (home) point.

Hope this helps
