I'm running a Direct Drive Hyplex Pump 55k @30hp, I'm currently running it at 53.5~54k psi cutting pressure. Should I maximize it at 55k or just maintain slightly lower psi to lessen the stress on the pump? Since it's rated at 55k psi, running it at 55k would be a fluctuation of 55k~55.5k on the gauge, I'm just worried the pump will be more stressed.
Most users lean in the direction of running at a lower pressure to increase seal life. A drop in 5000 p.s.i will only decrease the cut speed by 10-12%.
