waterjet not cutting circles right

The circles our waterjet cuts look oval in a way. Almost like if the x-axis is lagging. Has anyone ran into this problem? any suggestions? You can notice more on the smaller holes.photo.jpg

I had the same problem, had to replace the x-axis ball screw.

Our does this to a certain extent as well. These machines are designed in such a way that they cause excessive wear on both ball screws and eventually this problem occurs.

Most CNC machines have backlash adjustments to compensate for this problem. Check with your manufacturer to see if such an option exists on your machine. If not, then new ball screws is probably in your near future...
