Using NC Geomate 6.25 and NC Console .123--1/2" holes using arc leadin on 3/8" mild steel--we are getting a small "tit" on the back side of the hole--looks as though it is not finishing the cut on the backside of hole. New to waterjet. Any help will be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!!
Arcs work good on holes for thin material (say .125" or less), but on 3/8", you want to try a straight in/straight out. Ideally both at 0 degrees, but 5 or 10 wont be a problem and helps you see them easier in the program. Lead out doesn't need to be long. Stick with something .050" or .060". Important thing is to not apply any offset to either the lead in or lead out (just the hole). This should work well for you, let us know.
