Over the years, and versions of Flowmaster, I have never been able to import an ellipse from an autoCAD file.  An ellipse truly drawn as an ellipse in AutoCAD can not be exploded, so it does not import properly.  Other than tracing the ellipse with arcs, which is what we currently do, is there a way to import ellipses?

I've posted something similar here:

... but not gotten any solid answers as to why FM does not import ellipses, something the documentation clearly says it will. I have a lisp utility that converts ellipses into polylines consisting of small line segments, as 3d arcs won't import into FM either............

We also have an issue with elipses. I found that the explode tool works ok but exporting in Acad 12 seems to solve many of the problems. later version of Acad seem to have real issues with dxf for some reason or another depending on what cad programs you use.
