Hello all new to the forum and a new waterjet operator as well. We are having numerous with our two OMAX machines so I'll probably be posting a lot questions here in the near future but if someone could please help me with the immediate problem and get our jet back online it would be greatly appreciated. Like I said I'm new to the jets and the other operator has been at it almost a year and he inherrated a ton of problems himself when the previous operator got sacked. But what we are dealing with right now is the fact that up until yesterday the manifold block had been getting torqued down to 175 ft lbs and when I heard that I immediately knew that was WAY too much torque so we looked in the manual and sure enough spec is only 100. Now when we backed the nuts off
and torqued to 100 everything leaked like all get out so we have no choice but torque them down way too high now. So what kind of damage has been done by this and what all parts should we replace now? Also, we have a leak at the number three cylinder behind the housing assembly that we can not fix. Yesterday we replaced the U Cup seal and the seal retainer sleeve in the housing assembly to no avail. Any clues as to what we can try next? Thanks in advance.
