Currently cutting with flow mach 3 87000 psi started to cut 20mm ss and 60% usually get a good cut but started to get really bad cut. changed orifice and mixing tube using 80 mesh garnet. also using dwj but problem also with dwj turned off. Flow disk is disk that is installed was placed in by flow engineer. Any body help please. Lost in this 1....

There are many reasons for this problem. What disk are you talking about, maybe the abrasive metering disk? Besides for that i would look for worn slats causing the plate to move or moisture in the garnett. Another thing to check would be the percentage (color) your lines are drawn in. Check the pressure with the head open and make sure you are getting the pressure needed, dropping a few thousand can significantly change all of your speeds. I am currently cutting 20 mm 316ss plate and my lines are drawn in pink (80%) and in the flow cut program i am cutting at 90% using 80 mesh garnett. I could speed things up but the finish is coming out just as i want it so no need to push the limits.

Thanks. Yes its the metering disk .212 hole using 80 mesh. changed the orifice again and hoping this isn't a water quality issue as this is my second orifice. Tightend slats up by moving a notch. cutting 15mm 316 at 55% using dwg i know this should be cutting quicker. Found a leak at at a valve just befor the bleed down valve. Think the issue is sorted find out in the morning.

from what i was told by flow, cutting stainless above 40%-50% is not recomended. i changed my metering disk to the next size bigger and it made a little difference but anything above 60% speed is leaving the edge quality chewed up
