I have a Calypso Waterjet with a KMT Pump. My pump started shutting off after 5 minutes of cutting and I would receive an error saying "3 Over Stroke (leak detection). The problem is I just replaced all the seals and have no visable signs of leakage. Has anyone seen this before?

The leak can be internal, which means water may be flowing past your poppets. Lapp your check valves and replace your poppets.Also make sure you bleed down valve is not leaking water through the watse water out on the back of the pump.

We just had this happen.
It actually ended up being a broken spring on one of the hydraulic sensors on the side.
Of course we discovered this after replacing all the seals and poppets...

We had this, ended up being a broken spring on the sensor.
Check the springs on your hydraulic sensors. The electronic parts stuck into the side of the pump. Make sure you don't pull the fine needle pin out all the way as it's tough to get back in place.

We had the same problem yesterday...we eliminated all leaks rebuilt the check valves even changed the HP Seals then when we went to purge the heads it stroked fine in single head mode...but purging in dual head mode it starts to race, stroking twice as fast,then the error and shuts down??? We are running single head now til we figure this out...

We had the same problem yesterday and we rebuilt the check vales changed the HP seal eliminated any leaks ...then when we went to purge the cutting heads it works fine in single head mode but when purge in dual head mode we see the pump start to race and stroke twice as fast then we get the error and the machine shuts down....

Over speed / Over stroke alarms are usually caused by the machine trying to compensate for a lack of pressure. This can be caused simply by not having the water supply turned on, or internal components have failed on the pump. Usually a spring on the low pressure check valve. These are the first things I check every time it happens. Water supply issues are also caused by the filters being dirty, I have a .5 micron and 1.0 micron filter system before the supply water enters the pump. Usually I only have problems in the Springtime when the water supply has more sediment from the Winter Thaw runoff.
Any other internal components such as High Pressure seals that fail to cause an Over speed / Over Stroke Alarm should be very evident due to leaking from the weep holes. Thats not to say that the leaks are simply caused by the threaded components coming loosened either. I found that to save time and money on replacement parts and rebuilds, I check these components daily, and when a problem does arrive, I start the trouble shooting with that spring first then work my way into it deeper if needed.
