hey has anyone else had this issue, we have a flow mach 2 machine and if your jogging the head using the aarow keys on the keyboard, especially on high speed jog, the head continues to travel for and inch or two after you release the aarow key. it doesnt happen everytime but quite frequently. this is especially troublesome when using clamps to hold down material and when jogging the z axis.

Is it just deceleration time? Nothing in reality stops "instantly", there is probably a restriction to decelerate from full rapid gradually.
Jog slower or just let off the key before you get close to the spot?

It could be a sticky key on the keyboard. That garnet gets everywhere!

I agree with kgtheway2b. Nothing stops instantaneously there will always even on a low job speed some overrun. I would just try to stop it a little earlier and then ease your way into position.

new flow as of feb, old machine did it, new machine does it occasionally, new sealed keyboard from flow, still the same. fast mode, slow mode doesn't matter. thought it was just me but then the supervisor came over and was operating the machine and zoom!
have been told "it's the keyboard sticking", "it's the machine try to keep up with how many times you jog it".
no satisfactory answers from anyone. the estop is your friend.
