i took two orders last week for the waterjet. i own omax 55x100. materials i'm using are laminated brass .003 lams. and laminated 304 stainless steel. .003 lams also. i'm experiencing lots of troubles with this material. once it starts piercing material bumps at least 1/8" and hits the cutting head and ruins everything. i have tried piercing on lower pressure, sandwiching the material between 2 pcs of steel but can't get it done right. please advise if you guys have ever had this type of problems and if did what is the right way of cutting laminated materials
thank you

i have this problem with sign material as well. Two really thin aluminum sheets with plastic between them. What we started doing is either start cutting in from the outside of the material, or have a half inch tab.
Good morning/afternoon
