In Flowcut, when cutting, I notice that at the bottom left corner of the screen, machine codes are displayed that show what the machine is doing, in real time. Codes like DWEL, CIR, LIN, etc with numbers and colons and commas and whatnot. Is there a way to access that the compiled machine code for a particular drawing, before it cuts? The reason I'm interested is that when we are cutting thick (like, three inches or more) material, and elect to cut from a point, the head moves to the point, sets the height, and then sits there, doing nothing, for a while. Like, maybe thirty seconds. During this time, machine codes appear in the corner of the screen, with inches per minute gradually increasing from zero, with a LIN function, and the nozzle will move a thousanth or two, or three, and then the inches per minute will gradually decrease back to zero, and then it will sit there for a ten to twenty seconds before the water turns on. All of this activity occurs whether or not dynamics are applied to the drawing. I would like to compare the compiled machine codes for our drawing to what should be the correct codes; dwelling inactive for half a minute can't be right.

there is a setting in Flowcut for this one, we had the same issue. Our machine is running otherwise i would look it up for you. I think it is in the cut from a point set up. I will try to rememberto get back to you when our cut is done.

In the pulldown windows go to setup, then cut from a point set up. check to see if the box marked use backup method is checked. If it is, uncheck it and it should give you the result you are looking for. This box when checked is so the jet can back up the specified distance and start moving so the witness mark is reduced. If you want to know more about this feature contact the Technical service Department or check your FlowCut manual for specific set up instructions.
