i heard you can cut food with waterjets, how is this possible? and won't water and the sand garnet get into the food?

U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulations allow the use of waterjet technology in cutting food items such as cakes, french fries, steak, poultry and fish. Waterjets have proven themselves as both efficient and sanitary.
Abrasive is not used when cutting food, only water. So you don't have to worry about garnet.
