Pure water jet use only water to cut trough material, you can not cut the metals with pure jet it is only for soft foam materials and food in food industry. Abrasive water jet use garnet wich is mixed with water in a mixing (focusing) tube and can cut all materials such as glass or metal legures (hard materials).
